OWO MASSACRE: OBA AJIBOLA OLUYEDE ISE OLUWA II, THE ALAYEDE OF AYEDE OGBESE AND HIS OLORI, OLUFUNMILAYO COMMISERATE WITH OWO INDIGENES AND ENTIRE PEOPLE OF ONDO STATE
HRM Oba Ajibola Oluyede, Ise Oluwa II, the Alayede of Ayede Ogbese kingdom and his amiable wife, Olori Olufunmilayo Nejo-Oluyede, have commiserated with Ondo State Governor, Arákùnrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Owo indigenes, members of St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo and entire Ondo State people over yesterday’s attack and killings of innocent Nigerians of Owo extraction in Ondo State.
In a press release made available to Coastal Renaissance news, the monarch expressed his deepest displeasure over the attack and killings, calling on leaders to stand up to their responsibilities for the protection of the lives and liberties of our dear, long-suffering people of Ondo State.

THE OWO MASSACRE: COMMISERATION FROM AYEDE OGBESE KINGDOM
Nigeria was rudely awoken on the morning of the 5th of June 2022 by the news of the dastardly activities of certain cowardly and evil terrorists who attacked and brutally massacred innocent and peaceful worshippers in a Sunday church service at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
This heinous incident is all the more alarming in view of the various unsettling stories about foreign invaders in our midst in the Southwest of Nigeria.
We must view this as a wakeup call requiring all leaders in this region to stand up to their responsibilities for the protection of the lives and liberties of our dear, long-suffering people.
The Ayede Ogbese kingdom sends sincere condolences to the Governor of Ondo State, the Olowo of Owo, the Catholic Church and the entire peace-loving people of Owo Kingdom.
It is our fervent prayer that the Lord grants the departed eternal repose, quick recovery to the injured and respite and succor to the families of the victims.
We urge our security agencies to ensure that this does not become another case of unknown killers. The perpetrators and their principals must be fished out and made to face the full wrath of the Law.
