President, 130 Crown Obas in Ondo State, Oba Samuel Adeoye Edema mourns Akeredolu, commiserates with Aiyedatiwa, Traditional Rulers, Ondo citizens
The President of 130 crown Obas in Ondo State who is also the President, Yoruba Obas Forum, HRM Oba Samuel Olumide Adeoye, Edema 1, the Molokun of Atijere kingdom, has described the death of the former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN CON, as a great loss to his family, the people of Ondo State, particularly sons and daughters of Owo and Nigeria as a whole.
Oba Adeoye also commiserated with Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Ondo Obas as well as indigenes of Ondo State.
Oba Adeoye, in a statement issued on Thursday, said Akeredolu’s shocking demise has opened a deep sore in the hearts of the people of Ondo State and Nigerians, who looked up to him as a rallying point, a political stabilizer and talk and do Governor.
The President also sympathised on behalf of 130 Crown Obas in Ondo State with the deceased’s family and urged them to take heart, noting that the former governor’s service to the people of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole will remain his enduring legacy.
“Akeredolu’s doggedness, courage and diligence were the hallmark of note. He was highly sought after by many people as he gave his best to help insecurity of Ondo State and South West states to achieve their short-term and long-term goals. The world misses such a calibre of man. So-and-so was a great example to us all. He never let the downs of life down his spirits. He was always cheerful and in good spirits. We all miss him.” Oba Adeoye said.
