Unbeatable performance of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has negated zoning arrangement between Akoko North East & Akoko North West LGs – Council Chairman, Samson Akande
A member House of Representatives representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, has been endorsed for second term ahead of 2023 general elections by elders, leaders, market women and youths from Ogbagi Akoko community today.
While giving his opening remark at the meeting, the Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, Elder Samson Akande, commended the efforts and outstanding performance of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and noted that the federal lawmaker has performed beyond the expectations of the people and that the only way to repay him is to re-elect him in 2023.
According to him, “Tunji-Ojo has shown a sign of gaiety and monumental demonstration of the highest order. He has proved to us what is capable of doing and he has convinced us that he has come to serve and not to be served. So, we have seen the need to support him to continue his good works. Less than 2 years in office, he has done the imaginable”. So, there is no need of changing a winning and performing team”.
“What I witnessed today was first of its kind in the history of Ogbagi community. Therefore, I am extremely happy and impressed by the leave granted to the Federal lawmaker to endorse him without any influence. No wonder the Bible says in the book of Galatians 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.
“There is no zoning. Nothing like rotation where there is excellent performance. Just like the King (Owa of Ogbagi) said, in all the representatives we have had, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is absolutely the best, so, his unbeatable performance has nagated zoing arrangement in the next House of Representatives election in Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency. This time around, in 2023, the issue of rotation will not arise for the sake of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo”.
Speaking on behalf of the Traditional rulers, the Owa of Ogbagi, Oba Victor Adetona (Odagbaragada III) said, the reward for good performance is re-election and that Tunji-Ojo has earned the trust of his Constituency.
“Definitely, we are going to support him for second term and later support him to become the Governor of Ondo State and turn things around”
Some of the dignitaries present at the event include one of the foremost leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Alhaji Oloruntoba; Oba J. S. Daodu, the Oluyani of Iyani and the secretary of Akoko North West Council of Oba; traditional high chiefs in Ogbagi Akoko; the Chairman of Ogbagi Development Council (ODC), Alhaji S. Y.
